Why skateboards should be allowed in school

So alot of people skate,and it's easier and faster to skate to and from the train everyday,and it's fun skating after school!The problem is that they aren't allowed in my school.I understand there are reasons why,such as safety,and a place to put them.But It's not like I'd skate in school,or during school time,just before and after,and the school would not be responsible for that.As for placement of the boards,they don't take up much room,us skaters wouldn't ask for you to watch them all day just leave them in a safe spot,like a closet or something.This isn't a big deal,but it would be nice to do something about it.What do you think about this?Does it sound reasonable?
